There. Upon the wire they sit.
Around about they fly and flit.
For the journey, getting fit.
Not yet! Not yet! We’ll wait a bit.
Winters coming! Food is scarce.
The cry’s of gathering birds do pierce.
In their hearts. their courage brace.
As once again they have to face.
The open ocean. Wild and fierce!
Then as one they fly away.
Eager to be on their way.
They’re going now! No more delay.
But they’ll return again in May.

Well we had New Years Eve. Grand daughter had to be taken to hospital , she has a seizure. too hot from her temperature from some bug. She is ok now.
My son organized a quiz for my wife’s 70th. So we had that on Zoom, until midnight.
Went out to meet the neighbours in the pissing rain. Hugs all round, and loads of wine. lol. Then wished Dan a happy birthday. Second baby born in Cork that January.( never been early since).
Susie was booked to go back to London on the 1st @7.30 am but the taxi never turned up so she missed the plane. She left yesterday in stead at the same time.
To avoid anymore trouble I dropped Elinor up to the airport this morning at 6am. It was a lovely clear morning -2 degrees. .
Tooth pain is gone.. And what ever bug I had over xmas is beginning to get better.
Time to settle back into normal life…… So now What ?
Well Christmas is over..ish. although not really until 6th January 25
Was ill over xmas. but went to the dentist today. Had half a root canal so feeling a bit better. I know I said that I was going to write story but I have been too busy so far . When things relax in the new year I will give it another go. Although, my daughter showed me a story today made by AI. and it was really good and left me wondering if I could keep up with it. What can I do to make mine different and more reader friendly.?
I was also thinking, who owns the copy right of a story written by AI.? Not that it will matter to me, because I cannot see myself getting that far. ( I tend to be a bit lazy)
Today! I am just wondering what the new year will bring.
I like to divide my life into “lives” (As in periods of time spent at different things and employments) and this new year is another start. … I don’t know what it will bring yet, and that makes it more exciting.
It could be anything, and I won’t seek it out. It will find me.
Got to go now. seems we might be having a family quiz.

I have been on Facebook a lot today and I am discovering that there is not much going on in my life.(Outside of all my sickness s )
I find myself reposting old stuff. My followers don’t seem to mind but I do!
Poems used to fly out of my brain as if I spoke in poetic language. As if they were already formed, but now not so much. Stories were the same. An Ideas would come to me and the story would just expand and go on.
I think I will write a story just to get back my mind. and see if it works.
